Raymond Love

Raymond Love lays down the bass line for Groove Tantra. Raymond Love was born on the south side of Chicago, IL and is considered a miracle child as he was healed from epilepsy at a very young age. Ray and his family moved to Arizona where he would start New Groove Entertainment...providing top R&B Soul bands for Phoenix and Scottsdale, AZ.

One night at Kazimierz's (a popular R&B Jazz spot in Scottsdale, AZ), Ray met Loran Cox who was enjoying the live music. Loran asked if he could sit in with Ray's R&B band sometime...Ray then invited Loran to sit in the following Saturday night at Casablanca Rooftop Lounge.  Ray had no idea if flugelhorn or trumpet would fit with his R&B team yet something deep down inside said go for it. Ray was not disappointed with his decision...the onstage music chemistry moved the band and the audience. This was the beginning of the friendship, brotherhood and creativity that launched Groove Tantra...

Ray has performed globally with artists including George Benson, CeCe Winans, Vicki Winans, Lisa McClendon and Tamia.

Ray is Groove Tantra bass player and musical director.
