Michel Gonzalez

Michel Gonzalez brings the sounds of Spain to Groove Tantra. Michel Gonzalez is a guitar player, composer, arranger and educator. Michel studied classical guitar at the Mayeusis Conservatory and Santiago de Compostela Music School in Spain. Michel was awarded a scholarship from AIE (Society of Artist and Performances of Spain) to attend Berklee College of Music (Boston), where he graduated Magna cum laude with a degree in Professional music. In addition, he took master classes with Pat Metheny, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Charlie Banacos, Jorge Pardo and Barry Harris. In 2013, Michel was nominated for a Latin Grammy for his participation as arranger, producer and guitar player for the song "Para ser un Sol" by Jesus Hidalgo.
