Edwin Torres delivers Latin percussion energy for Groove Tantra. Edwin has performed globally with artists including Arturo Sandoval, Celia Cruz, Sergio George, Victor Manuel, Richie Rey, Israel "Cachao" Lopez, Sonora Dynamita, Ray Ruiz, Pedro Guzman, David Pabon, and Tito Puente, Jr. among many others.

 

Edwin's Latin percussion skills cover an array of instruments including timbales, congas, bongos, cowbells, guiro and maracas. Edwin has held artist endorsements from instrument manufactures including LP Latin Percussion and Vater Sticks.

Edwin enjoys teaching students all Latin percussion (timbales, congas, bongos, minor percussion and folkloric percussion), drumming rudiments and Tai Chi to help students develop a musical ear, memory, focus and concentration. With Groove Tantra...Edwin ignites the fire of Latin energy.
