Abel Pabon

Abel is pianist and multi-keyboardist for Groove Tantra. Abel started playing drums at an early age and later studied piano, arranging and composition at Berklee College of Music (Boston). Abel and has performed, arranged, composed and produced in many styles ranging from Latin, Pop, Brazilian, R&B, Soul, Jazz and Fusion.

Abel has toured extensively with Pop, Soul, R&B artist sensation Joss Stone; R&B Soul legend Betty Wright; Latin artist Luis Enrique; Latin Jazz flautist Nestor Torres; Steel Drum virtuoso Othello Molineaux and Andean Jazz harpist Roberto Perera. Abel has also worked with Arturo Sandoval, Mongo Santamaria, Chayanne, Menudo, Giovanny Hidalgo, and Batacumbele among many others. Abel has recording credits with many artists and TV appearances including the Tonight Show, Late Night with David Letterman, Today Show, Conan O’Brien, Hispanic Heritage Awards and more.

Abel is from Mayaguez, Puerto Rico and resides in Miami, FL.
